Increasing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

The third strategy features several sessions that make up a rich strategy for increasing the building of new accessory dwelling units (ADUs) on existing lots. There are many benefits to adding ADUs, but there are also many obstacles to overcome if this is to be a significant part of a community’s housing strategy. A multi-faceted ADU strategy can meet many needs. It can provide added revenue for home-owners, affordable rental units, a safe home for a senior in their current neighborhoods, and much more.
